Activity Cards Making a Difference
Recently a parent advocate in Rochester, N.Y. (who works with families of special needs preschoolers) told GRTR! that she recently started encouraging her parents to spend time using the GRTR! activity cards at home. She encourages parents to use the cards with their children, even if they do not use the screening tool. She has found the cards to be a non-threatening resource for the parents she works with because the activities build on what their child knows, and helps parents focus on specific skills over the next year.
